Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 5.20 crore), Sintex Inds.(number of shares traded: 1.30 crore), Trident Ltd(number of shares traded: 1.08 crore), Sintex Plastics Tech(number of shares traded: 0.94 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 0.78 crore), Lloyds Steels(number of shares traded: 0.70 crore), Suncare Traders(number of shares traded: 0.57 crore), Yamini Invst(number of shares traded: 0.57 crore), G V Films(number of shares traded: 0.51 crore) and JP Power(number of shares traded: 0.48 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:59AM in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 188.85 points down at 17575.95, while BSE Sensex was down 646.68 points at 58989.33 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 3.94 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(up 2.04 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.30 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.08 per cent) and Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 0.91 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 4.27 per cent), Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 3.37 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 3.28 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 2.75 per cent) and Titan Company Ltd.(down 2.69 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
