Moana Hope revealed her mum and sister both tested positive for Covid, detailing her family's harrowing experience with the virus.
In a post on Instagram on Monday, the 33-year-old retired Australian rules footballer described it as 'the most stressful two weeks of my life'.
'Both my Mum and Vinny got Covid. We honestly weren't sure how my mum would go, with all of her ongoing health issues and being classified as a high risk,' she began.

'And Vinny, we also weren't sure on how her immune system would hold up and she just didn't understand what was actually happening to her or [be] able to properly verbalise her symptoms.'
Moana is the sole carer for her sister Livinia - affectionately nicknamed Vinny - who suffers from a rare neurological condition called Moebius syndrome.
The condition causes underdeveloped facial nerves, and can affect the nerves responsible for speech, chewing and swallowing.

Vinny lives with Moana and her wife of two years, model Isabella Carlstrom, and the couple's one-year-old daughter, Svea.
'Both were very sick and we had some scary moments but both were so bloody resilient and they are okay and made it through,' she continued.
'Vinny is having a couple more days off to rest and recover then she will be back at school and we can't wait to see them both.'

She went on to thank the nurses at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, saying they were in constant contact with her mother and sister throughout their ordeal.
'They contacted both my mum and Vinny multiple times a day, every day to check on them and go over their vitals,' she added.
'They were honestly amazing. I can only assume this is a standard procedure for them, but me not bring able to be there and knowing RMH were there to support both Vinny and my Mum kept my mind at ease. #sothankful #relieved'.
