Adele was brought to tears when she was reunited with her favourite teacher during a live performance.
An Audience with Adele saw the Grammy award-winner perform a mix of old and new songs at the London Palladium, while answering questions from celebrities.
When asked by actor Emma Thompson, who inspired her as a child, Adele spoke about the impact a former English teacher, Miss McDonald, had on her life.
"Yeah, I had a teacher at Chestnut Grove who taught me English," Adele replied.
"That was Miss McDonald. She left when I was in year eight. It was just one year, but she got me really into literature. I've always been obsessed with English, and obviously, now I write lyrics."
"She was so bloody cool. So engaging, she really made us care, and we knew she cared about us," Adele said about the "relatable and likeable" teacher.
Much to Adele's surprise, Miss McDonald started walking through the audience toward her before joining her on-stage.
"Thank you for remembering me," said Miss McDonald as the pair shared a teary-eyed reunion on stage.
