DHS Noney launches CMHA scheme

Noney, November 21 2021: District Health Society (DHS), Noney, launched CM's Health for All (CMHA) scheme for Noney district on November 19 at Dolang community hall in Noney.

National Health Mission Manipur SMD Dr N Shyamjai Singh, CMHA SNO Dr Y Premchandra Singh, SNO (HWC) Dr S Sucheta Devi, Dolang village chairman Allen Thoitak and Noney CMO Dr Edwin Golmei attended the programme as the presidium members in the presence of officials from state and district health societies, health care workers and Dolang village'elders.

Under the CMHA, door to door screening of 18-plus citizens for chronic diseases regarding primary care management with focus on 10 NCDs will be carried out with a hand-held digital device and other accessories which are connected to a command centre at DH by telemedicine network.

In the previous population based screening, citizens above 30 years of age were screened for hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases but under CMHA scheme, screening will also be done for lung diseases, kidney diseases, stroke & mental health problems.

Screening for oral, breast and cervical cancers will also be carried out under this scheme.
