Man with serious injuries found in downtown parking garage, investigation underway
WORCESTER — An investigation is underway after a man with "life threatening injuries" was found in a downtown parking lot Saturday evening, police said
The call came in at about 6 p.m. and police found the man, who was unconscious, in the garage at 1 Mercantile St., according to Worcester police.
The man had no identification, police said, though they did not disclose whether they believed he had been the victim of a robbery.
The man, who was was bleeding, was taken by ambulance to UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, according to scanner reports.
Crime scene specialists and detectives were called to the scene to aid in the investigation, according to police radio repots.
Police said Sunday there had been no arrests related to the incident. They declined to say whether there was any danger to the public nor would police disclose how they believe the man was injured.
