San Angelo man arrested after woman cut with knife, people threatened with guns
SAN ANGELO — A San Angelo man has been arrested after cutting a woman with a knife and making threats with a gun, according to an arrest affidavit.
On Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021, a man arrived at a woman's house on 12th Street to pick up a vehicle. Another resident started arguing with the man, and he walked back to his vehicle and opened the trunk, appearing to get something, records state.
Another witness approached him and stopped him from getting an unknown object from the trunk. He then started slashing at the witness with a knife, according to the affidavit.

The resident intervened by hitting the man and he sliced her arm. He left, but returned two more times that day - once with a rifle and later with a handgun. On the second return, he approached the homeowner and shot at the ground, records state.
Police later found the man, who was intoxicated at the time, so they did not interview him, according to the affidavit.

Juan Jose Morales Jr., 38, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two warrants. He was released from Tom Green County Detention Center the next day on a $60,000 bond, according to online jail records.
This charge is a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years and a fine not to exceed $10,000.
