Police: 18-year-old dies after shooting in Lincoln Heights

A teenager died after a shooting in Lincoln Heights Saturday morning.

Deputies arrived in the 1100 block of Lindale Court at around 11:30 a.m. for a report of a shooting.

Gregory Thompson, 18, had multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

Thompson was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and died at the hospital.

Officials have not released any suspects. Deputies say that that there are no witnesses to this shooting.

As of Tuesday, there were 82 homicides in Cincinnati so far in 2021, making this the third highest year of homicides on record. 2020 was Cincinnati's highest year on record with 94 killings. 2006 was the next highest year with 88 killings.
