• Tamil Nadu has received 68% per cent excess rainfall during the ongoing northeast monsoon
• Three persons and over 300 head of cattle were killed in the last 24 hours, the govt said on Saturday
• Water was released from reservoirs, including at Mettur, which caters to Cauvery delta districts
