Minority community demand withdrawl of CAA/ NRC Act

Lucknow, Nov 20 (UNI) After announcement to withdraw three farm laws by Prime minister Narendra Modi, now demand has started by the Muslim clerics for withdrawal of CAA/NRC.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind president Maulana Arshad Madani in a statement here on Saturday said ," It's believed that Farm Laws were withdrawn as polls are close. We think that that (CAA-NRC) is concerned with nationality and Muslims will have to bear its brunt. Power of public strongest, so this CAA should also be withdrawn too."

" We congratulate the farmers who continued their protest bravely, Similarly, we want Government to roll back the CAA/ NRC Act that is going to hurt Muslims. They too are citizens of India just like others. If they're affected, the government should feel it in a similar manner," he added.

Similarly, Maulana Sufiyan Nizami, spokesperson of Darul Uloom Firangi Mahal said here on Saturday that they welcome the withdrawal of agricultural laws.

"Like the agriculture law, CA NRC should also be withdrawn. CAA/ NRC is against the Constitution of the country," he said.
