Cordarrelle Patterson inactive for Falcons vs. Pats
The Atlanta Falcons made running back Cordarrelle Patterson inactive for Thursday night's contest against the New England Patriots due to an ankle injury.
Patterson's participation was considered a game-time decision as the Falcons (4-5) played host to the Patriots (6-4), coach Arthur Smith said Wednesday.
Patterson was a limited participant in practice during the week after injuring the ankle in Sunday's 34-3 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. In that game, he was limited to a season-low 15 snaps on offense and five on special teams.
Patterson, 30, leads the Falcons in rushing yards (303), receiving touchdowns (five), kickoff return yards (332) and all-purpose yards (1,103).
Also inactive for Atlanta were safety Jaylinn Hawkins (ankle) and cornerback Kendall Sheffield (hamstring).
