Chandigarh, November 18
Till the time three vacant posts of DSP are filled, the UT Administration has decided to give a “look-after charge” to seven senior-most Inspectors to discharge the duties of DSP. They have been promoted to the rank of DSP (ad hoc).
This will be a temporary arrangement till the time Administration fills the posts on regular basis.
The orders were issued by UT Adviser Dharam Pal yesterday. As per the orders, the Inspectors holding the charge of routine duties of DSP will not be authorised for statutory duties of the post.
The seven Inspectors who have been promoted and assigned the “look-after charge” include Barjinder Singh, who has been given the charge of DSP Communication; Shri Parkash, Assistant Commandant, IRB; Gurjeet Kaur, DSP (Traffic); Dilbagh Singh, DSP (PCR); Manju Sharma DSP, Welfare Centre, Jaswinder Kaur, DSP (Training). Inspector Dalbir Singh is yet to get a charge.
The Adviser decorated the newly promoted DSPs with badges at the 55th Raising Day parade of the Chandigarh Police. — TNS
