K Karnajit Memorial Second Divn League : IFC blank KAN 4-0, KYC (N) edge JUVENILE 3-2

Imphal, November 18 2021: IFC, Lamphel overwhelmed KAN, Kadangband 4-0 as KYC (N), Khurkhul edged past JUVENILE, Tera by 3-2 goals in today's matches of the ongoing 10th K Karnajit Singh Memorial Second Division Football League Tournament.
Opening up their Group B league stage, IFC started positively at PAMYAL ground, Patsoi to take a comfortable 2-0 lead till the breather courtesy goals by Thoimuchon in the 16th minute and Hongreiwung in the 22nd minute.
KAN failed to find their composure in the second half as well and it was Sayo who fired home twice in the 53rd and the 70th minute to hand IFC a 4-0 win.
Meanwhile, in the second Group A league match of the tournament staged later, an own goal by Dhakeshwor in the 22nd minute proved JUVENILE costly despite scoring two goals later in the second half.
KYC (N) got off to a flying start with a series of attacks early on and took 14 minutes to take the lead with L Robin making his way deep and finding the net.
They continued to press for more and Dhakeshwor's own goal gave them a 2 goal cushion till the break.
The Tera side however made a stronger return after the changeover and pulled back a goal via Monex in the 55th minute.
Relentless KYC (N) too made it sure they enjoyed a two goal advantage with Lungunhao scoring in the 68th minute.
Kapil scored another for JUVENILE in the 73rd minute to reduce the margin but failed to close the gap as KYC held on to their lead.
SICO, Lourembam will play SYPA, Awang Sekmai in the next Group B League match tomorrow.
HNSC hold SOYO in IW 3rd Division Football League HNSC, Haoreibi and SOYO, Sanjenbam played out a 1-1 draw in the Group B league opener of the 4th Mani Sharma Memorial 3rd Division Football League tournament being organised by the Imphal West District Football Association here at the same venue (PAMYAL ground).
S Dharmjoy opened up for SOYO in the 18th minute only to be equalised by Daniel Ngangom of HNSC the very next minute.
Despite having shared almost equal possession and scoring chances, the two sides failed to add up and eventually ended up sharing a point each.
November 19 matches USC, Phayeng vs KRYPHSA (Group C) and KSYC, Hiyangthang vs YSC, Yurembam (Group D) .
