A man was shot near the memorial site for rapper Young Dolph who was killed earlier this week.

According to ABC News, the shooting happened on Thursday afternoon near Makeda's Homemade Butter Cookies, the shop where 36-year-old Young Dolph was gunned down on Wednesday.

The bakery, which has been boarded shut since the rapper's death, has become a memorial site where mourners have gathered to pay respects.

The Memphis Police Department revealed on Friday morning that a male "was shot and is listed as non-critical".

"Officers are on the scene of a shooting at 2630 Airways. One male was shot and is listed as non-critical. Officers immediately detained two suspects, and a third was detained at Kerr and Mississippi after a brief pursuit. The cause of this shooting is under investigation."

It is unclear whether or not the shooting is related to the case of Young Dolph.

On Thursday, the Memphis Police Department also released images of suspects and a suspected vehicle believed to be connected to Young Dolph's killing.
