The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of an all-terrain vehicle with a side-by-side passenger seat valued at $22,000 that was stolen from a home in Erie Township last week.

The 2020 Polaris ATV was parked on a trailer in a driveway in the 2000 block of Creston Dr. in the Maplewood Subdivision off S. Dixie Hwy. (M-125), a deputy’s report said. The owner of the ATV told deputies he had the only key and insurance on the vehicle, which he bought in 2020. A deputy found possible tracks in a nearby grassy field. A neighbor’s surveillance camera is also being checked.

The ATV was listed as stolen on the state’s law enforcement information network, the report said.

The suspect remains unknown.
