'Pokemon GO' November Community Day: Start Time, Bonuses and Featured Pokemon
Pokemon GO's next Community Day is just around the corner, with all the usual capture opportunities and limited-time bonuses.
Community Days are monthly occurrences in Niantic's enduringly popular mobile game, during which trainers are able to catch special Pokemon, teach them previously unobtainable moves and earn items at an accelerated pace. In short, they are a great opportunity for anybody who is looking to expand their collection and do some grinding in the fastest way possible.
The events only last for a few hours though, meaning that you need to carve out some time in your schedule on the right day, otherwise you will miss your shot and have to wait until the following month.
Here is everything you need to know about the November 2021 Community Day in Pokemon GO, including when it will take place and what's in store.
When Is the 'Pokemon GO' Community Day in November?
The next Pokemon GO Community Day is being held on Sunday, November 21. It has a start time of 11 a.m. and will be running until 5 p.m. This will remain the same irrespective of where you are in the world or what time zone you are in.
This means that it will overlap with the ongoing "Shining Pearl" event, which itself wraps up at 8 p.m. ET on the very same day.
'Pokemon GO' Community Day Bonuses
As always, the Community Day will implement some bonuses that make it easier for you to catch and trade Pokemon.
Incense and Lure modules will last three times longer for the duration of the event and, when placed in an incubator, eggs will hatch considerably faster. According to the official blog post, the distance that you need to walk for the egg to hatch will be reduced by 25%, so if you have any that you want to incubate it might behove you to wait until Sunday.
In addition to this, you will also get the following:
- 3X Transfer Candy
- 4X Chance of earning Candy XL when transferring Pokemon
- A trio of free Raid Passes from gyms (eligible for up to two hours after the event finishes)
- Trades that require 25% less Stardust
Featured Pokemon and Featured Attack
Every Community Day has a featured Pokemon, and November's is no exception.
This time, it will be the electric-type creature, Shinx. In a nutshell, this means that Shinx becomes more prolific out in the wild and that your chances of finding them are greatly increased. You will also be more likely to encounter a shiny variant in your travels as well, so make sure to keep an eye out for one of those.
Not only that, but if you manage to evolve your Shinx into a Luxio during the Community Day, then you will get an extra bonus.
Specifically, you will be rewarded with a Luxray that is capable of performing the "Charged Attack Psychic Fangs" move. This marks the debut of this particular ability —which lowers the defense of opponents — in Pokemon GO.
Looking ahead into the future, the blog post teases that December's Community Day will be particularly exciting for Pokemon GO fans, as Niantic plans to end the year with a bang.
