‘Absolutely unfair’: Kangana Ranaut reacts to the withdrawal of farm laws

Mumbai: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the repeal of three farm laws, actor Kangana Ranaut expressed her opinion on it, and she appears to be disappointed with the government’s decision.

With her Instagram story, Kangana shared a post from a network user that read: “Street power is the only power that matters, so prove it. #Boeresprotest.” In response to the specific post, Kangana wrote: “Heartbreaking, shameful, absolutely unfair. If people started making laws on the streets and not the elected government in Parliament, then even this is a jihadi nation. Congratulations to all who wanted it that way. ” In a second post, Kangana shared a photo of late former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Next to the photo of Indira Gandhi, she wrote: “When the conscience of the nation is in deep sleep, lat (the cane) is the only solution and dictatorship is the only resolution … Congratulations on your birthday Madam Prime Minister, she wrote.

Friday is the 104th birthday of the former prime minister.

At Gurpurab’s event on Friday, Modi announced that his government would repeal the three farm laws passed by parliament a year ago, which led to massive protests by farmers’ unions in several states.

Farmers have been protesting the government’s three farm laws since it approved the Farmer Products Trade and Promotion (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020, and the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Insurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020.
