- SAFA, through their president Danny Jordaan, lodged a complaint with FIFA with regards to how Senegal referee Maguette Ndiaye handled the game.
- Ghana won Sunday's 2022 World Cup Qualifier in Cape Coast against South Africa 1-0 through a contentious penalty awarded by Ndiaye.
Ghana Football Association president Kurt Okraku said they will defend themselves to the hilt with regards to the complaint lodged by South African Football Association president Danny Jordaan.
On Wednesday, Jordaan explained how they will be approaching their case with FIFA with regards to how Sunday's World Cup qualifier was managed by Senegalese ref Maguette Ndiaye.
Ndiaye awarded Ghana a contentious 31st-minute penalty that was converted by Andre Ayew and settled the group as a contest.
Ghana finished top of Group G and proceeded to the last round of the qualifying phases as one of 10 teams.
Okraku spoke little about Ndiaye's officiating, but more on how Confederation of African Football president Patrice Motsepe shouldn't be dragged into the matter.
"As Ghana, we will defend our rights to the maximum and he can't drag Patrice Motsepe into this," Okraku said
"Motsepe is CAF president and he doesn't call the shots at SAFA. We voted for Motsepe to represent a truly democratic CAF and not to take sides.
"The Motsepe I know won't take a side and I don't expect him to take sides."
Okraku, who was speaking at the launch of the Women's Premier Super Cup, also took a defensive tone and implored Jordaan to accept the outcome of Sunday's game as he believed Ghana was the better side.
"South Africa must not be bad losers. They must understand they neither planned nor played well enough and they weren't good enough for our Black Stars," Okraku said.
"It is important that my good friend Danny must accept that on the day and by the length of the competition, that Ghana was the best team in the group.
"The Black Stars had dominated Bafana Bafana and Mother God was so good to them that they didn't concede more goals."
Okraku then proceeded to take potshots at SAFA and Bafana Bafana, saying they need to know their place in the hierarchy of African football.
"Since when did South Africa become a superpower over Ghana in football? Are we kidding here?" Okraku asked an expectant crowd at the launch.
"Why is SAFA saying they can manipulate two legs into the World Cup? That will not happen."
