Narendra Modi Address LIVE Updates: Beginning his speech with chants of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh, in the Bundelkhand region. Prime Minister Modi said the region had been deprived of water by earlier governments ruling in Delhi and UP.
“Over four lakh people will get drinking water, the wait for water is over now,” he said.
Slamming the previous governments, he said, “The land of Bundelkhand blessed Lord Ram when he was in exile. Those who ruled Delhi and UP never worked towards the development of Bundelkhand. Earlier governments mistreated Bundelkhand.” The PM was scheduled to address a the meeting in Mahoba as part of his visit to Uttar Pradesh, ahead of the 2022 assembly election.

PM Modi in Jhansi, Big 'Aatmanirbhar' Boost for Armed Forces | In a massive boost to 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat', Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be handing over India-made light combat helicopters, drones and UAVs to the armed forces during his visit to Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh. He earlier addressed a public meeting in Mahoba as part of his Bundelkhand tour and promised four lakh drinking water connections in the region, which is heavily deprived of potable water resources. This comes ahead of 2022 assembly election in the state.
Arjun Sahayak Irrigation Project Inaugurated in Mahoba | Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 'Arjun Sahayak' irrigation project in Mahoba today. The irrigation project, worth Rs 2,600 crore, is set to benefit farmers in Mahoba, Hamirpur and Banda districts. Earlier, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath had claimed that farmers’ lives in Banda, Hamirpur and Mahoba will change once this project is introduced. The project on Dhasan river will provide irrigation facilities to 1.5 lakh farmers in 168 villages.

PM: No Secret How Bundelkhand's Forests Were Handed Over to Mafia | PM Modi said it was no secret how the forets and resources of Bundelkhand were handed over to the maifa. "Now that the BJP-ruled government in UP is running over the mafia with bulldozers, some people are raising a hue and cry. But no matter how much trouble these people create, the work of development of UP, of Bundelkhand is not going to stop."
PM: For First Time Bundelkhand is Seeing a Govt Working for its People | PM Modi said for years development schemes had not been completed in Bundelkhand, and that now people of the region were seeing a government working for them for the first time. Previous governments did not get tired of looting UP, but we are ensuring that we don't get tired of bringing development in the state, he added.

PM Modi in Mahoba | At a public meeting in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh, in the Bundelkhand region, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "Mahoba is a witness to how we (the BJP-ruled government at the Centre) have brought the closed-door rooms of Delhi to every nook and corner of the country in the last seven years."
Reacting to PM Modi's announcement to repeal the three farm laws, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi said, "Watching him, I thought of the family of Daljit Singh, one of the farmers who died. I wondered what they were thinking - the son of a minister in the Modi government crushed him, the family must be thinking the Prime Minister never came to visit them, the minister still shares stage with the PM, and today the PM is apologising ? The elections are approaching - surveys show the BJP is on a weak footing... that is why they are doing this."
PM Modi to Arrive in UP's Mahoba Shortly | The Prime Minister is also scheduled to visit Mahoba and Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh, to launch multiple development projects worth over Rs6250cr today. One of the projects he will inaugurate is 'Arjun Sahayak' to help alleviate problem of water shortage for farmers in Mahoba.
With reference to the annoucement of repealing the three farm laws, Union Agricultural Minister NS Tomar said, "PM Narendra Modi had tried to bring changes in agriculture with these reforms. But due to some situations, some farmers objected. When we took path of discussions and tried to explain to them, we couldn't succeed. So on Prakash Parv, PM decided to repeal farm laws. It is a welcome step. He has also said that a committee will be formed on Zero Budget Farming, MSP, crop diversification issues. The committee will have Centre, State Govts, farmers, scientists, economists. It will submit a report over making MSP effective and transparent and other issues."

PM Modi in his LIVE Speech Today said: The goal of the three farm laws was to empower farmers, especially small farmers, he said. The agriculture budget has risen by five times with over Rs 1.25 lakh crore being spent annually, Modi said. He also highlighted his govt's measures to benefit small farmers. "I have experienced farmers' difficulties, challenges from very close quarters in my five decades of public life," the prime minister said.
Farmers' Protests to Complete One Year on Nov 26 | On November 26, the farmers' protests would have marked the first anniversary of their relentless agitation against the Centre's three farm laws. To mark the occasion, the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) had decided to hold nationwide rallies on November 26. A general body meeting of the SKM had asked the farmers from Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to assemble in large numbers at the borders of Delhi on the day.
