Imphal, November 18 2021: The Zeliangrong United Front has appealed to all concerned intending candidates, party workers and publics in Zeliangrong inhabited areas of Manipur to maintain peace and harmony during the process of political campaign and election.

In a release, KD Gangmei, information & publicity secretary ZUF stated that as per the directive of the cabinet and in purview of the 12th General Assembly Election 2022, all the intending candidates, party workers and publics are informed to refrain from ill provoking languages, hurtful criticism, inciting media messages and any form of violent activities.

"No elements of violence, unfair means, divisive activities like adverse feeling against each other in regards to party campaign and election shall be tolerated", it added.

ZUF mentioned that the front would observe and operate surveillance mission to ensure all concerned individuals are maintaining a peaceful and harmonious climate pre and during the forthcoming election.

It also warned of sever action against any individual in the event of any adverse eventuality occurring due to non-compliance of directives issued by the front.

ZUF further extended its wishes for a fair and peaceful election and appealed to all concerned to cooperate with the Government and election commission.
