ACT records COVID-19 spike, 25 new cases
The ACT has recorded 25 new cases of COVID-19, the highest number of daily infections in almost a month.
The spike in infections coincides with the territory's fully-vaccinated rate for residents 12 and over approaching 97 per cent.
The last time the ACT had a higher number of daily cases was on October 21, when 28 infections were reported.
Meanwhile, the number of patients in hospital remains stable. Three are being treated, with one in intensive care and on a ventilator.
Authorities said 96.8 per cent of Canberrans 12 and over have received both vaccine doses, while more people than Canberra's estimated population have had their first dose.
There was another day of high testing rates, with 2035 negative tests reported in the past 24 hours.
The new cases have pushed up the number of active cases in Canberra to 191.
