Four highlights from CM KCR’s speech at TRS Maha Dharna

Hyderabad: Telangana’s Prime Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday launched a scathing critique of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in both the center and the state.

Here are four key points from his speech:

  1. Speaking about the Center’s reluctance to buy rice from Telangana, KCR remarked: “What is all the fuss about? All we ask you is whether you are going to buy rice from our state or not. Food Corporation of India has all the control over Godowns in this country. It is the Center’s responsibility to obtain rice from the state and to protect farmers’ interests. But they are clearly not competent enough. Our delegation went to Delhi and met the relevant cabinet minister 50 days ago. It’s 50 days and there’s no response.

2. KCR then spoke about the overall situation in the country from continuous Boer protests to India’s position in the Global Hunger Index. “It’s not just about Telangana, it is the cry of farmers from all over the country. They have long fought against the laws against farmers imposed by the center in Delhi. Cars were driven over them in Uttar Pradesh and here it is this injustice. All they demand is the right price for their products and clarity. The Government in the center today is incapable of exploiting the great resources and it is important that we fight against it. We are on 101 out of the 116 countries on the Global Hunger Index. We are even worse compared to Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan. We should be ashamed of this. People are not beggars. It’s time we fought against this mentality. “

This was followed by attacking the opposition BJP in the state and the center because they indulged in double talk and political drama. “Half of this country relies on agriculture. With such mere negligence, will you let farmers live or not? Rather than spend millions upon millions on farmers and their welfare, they want to sell everything to private individuals. We demand that you buy rice from our state. If not, we will fight against your incompetence and double talk. This is political drama about unsold piles of rice. We will pile it all up in front of the BJP office. ”

4. The TRS supremo reiterated that political chairmen do not mean much to them compared to the people of Telangana and blamed the Bharatiya Janatha Party for ‘blackmailing’ people not to question them. “BJP is lying. If you ask questions, their character kills you on WhatsApp and Facebook. They put matters on you. They did not keep the promises made to Telangana. We do not care about political chairs. We have thrown them away in the past for Telangana state capture and we are ready to fight for our farmers again. This battle starts with rice and then it goes on for the country. Today is the beginning. We will not back down. ” People’s lives are more important, politics is for later ” he said.
