The producer and DJ - whose real name is Shahid Khan - also revealed that his mum Zahida, 66, told him to keep praying each morning while in the castle.

Speaking about how his mother feels ahead of his stint on the ITV show, Naughty Boy enthused: 'So excited. Last year we were all a bit anxious, she was anxious.
'This year she's happy. She was saying for me not to worry about her and just enjoy my time.
'She told me to just be me and make sure I keep praying. I pray every morning. I'm British Pakistani Muslim and I do wanna shine my light there and get to know each others' faiths.
The music star also explained why he didn't join the line-up last year, admitting: 'Last year life wasn't permitting for me to do I'm A Celebrity last year.
'It was too risky for me to leave my mum for that period of time. And if it was in Australia I don't think I'd be able to do it. This year it's so much easier.'

He explained: 'The first lockdown - I usually have cleaners in my house but they weren't able to come - so it was just me, my mum and her carers.
'I had to adapt to a new kind of normal - we all did. I became more homely. I became more caring natured.
'I'd go to my neighbours and drop them packs of paracetamol and doing whatever I can. That's prepared me. I want to be of service. I want to be the chef of the castle because I started to learn how to cook. I know what skills I can bring.'

On whether he's ready for the world to get to know 'the real him', he admitted: 'I've been an artist for the last 10 years. People only know about Naughty Boy. I'm not a celebrity my music is.
'This is an opportunity for people to get to know the man behind. But I do wanna keep the mystery a bit.'
Discussing how his celeb pals have reacted to his involvement with I'm A Celebrity, the DJ confessed: 'I hope Emilie Sande doesn't put me up for challenges. She said to me "shine your light and just be yourself".

He said: 'In terms of diva, when I started working with Gemma - she's definitely got that big personality and infectious.
'They've [celebrities] always been quite nice to me. In the studio it's always an intimate environment.
