Imphal, November 17 2021: BJP Mahila Morcha National president Vanathi Srinivasan has categorically stated that she would call on party leaders to include reservation for widows in recruitment in the election manifesto of the saffron party.

She said this during a BJP Mahila Morcha Kamal Sakhi Sammelan held at Nongada Kameng.

The programme was attended by BJP Mahila Morcha Manipur President president Loteeka Leima, intending candidate for the Assembly election Kh Ibomcha, BJP Imphal East president P December and BJP Mahila Lamlai Mandal president I Jamini.

At the function, Vanathi Srinivasan continued that the BJP led Government at both the Centre and the State have taken up several welfare schemes.

Claiming that the development of the North East region was not given much thought in the past and as such there were poor infrastructure and facilities, Vanathi Srinivasan stated that the current Government, however, focuses on the development region.

Kh Ibomcha, on the other hand, stated that the time of Ksh Biren, who allegedly does more business than politics is nearing end.

Conception that one can do everything with money is no longer valid, he said and added that he would complete the CHC at Nongada and open different offices at Sawombung.
