Panaji, Nov 18 (UNI) Trinamool Congress National Vice-President Luizinho Faleiro on Thursday said West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has ensured that Goans' voice reaches Parliament.
Addressing a press conference, he said, " By nominating me for Rajya Sabha seat, she has given Goans a voice in the Parliament. Till now issues of Goans were not reaching the Parliament."
"There is unemployment, inflation but nobody raised their voice against it in the Parliament. Mhadei has been sold, we are in the death trap and there is economic melt down. But these issues have not been raised," he claimed.
He alleged that Congress had sold its MLAs to the Bharatiya Janata Party and his joining TMC was not a retirement benefit.
Mr Faleiro said TMC wasn't there to divide votes but become people's voice.
He said TMC was in favour of starting mining in the state as early as possible.
