Bpr, November 17 2021: One Pungyambam Romio of Kumbi Khuga Wangma, who was allegedly abducted by some 7/8 people coming in three cars and badly beaten up at Changangei Uchekon on November 15, has demanded booking of all the perpetrators and punishing them according to law.
Romio informed media persons at his residence on Wednesday that he along with his parents and his uncle Keisham Jayenta (mother's brother) were forcibly taken to Sanaleibak Pukei Private Limited at Changangei Uchekon on November 15 at about 5.30am.After beaten up badly, the abductors pressurised him to sign on a paper and even threatened to kill Him, Romio said, adding that he had put signature on the paper as he was unable to bear the pain suffered in the thrashing and was in a state of semi-consciousness.
Later, the kidnappers told one Geetajen of Ghari where his parents were kept to kill them, Romio recounted, adding that all of them were, however, released around 6.30pm the same day.
Romio further said he worked as accountant at Sanaleibak Pukei Private Limited in 2019 and does not know reason for'abducting and torturing him.
Local women, who also took part the press conference, informed media persons that Romio is an innocent man and appealed to authority concerned to book the culprits involved in abducting Romio and award them befitting punishment.
