Around 12 members of the NIA team reached Vizag on Wednesday night and started searches in the early hours at Andhaluri Annapoorna’s house.
VISAKHAPATNAM: The officials of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) launched simultaneous searches on the premises of various representatives of people’s organizations in both Telugu states - Andhra Pradesh and Telangana following the seizure of printed and unprinted books of recently died Maoists central committee member Akkiraju Haragopal alias RK’s life at a printing press in Hyderabad.
According to sources, NIA cops are conducting searches in the houses of Andhaluri Annapoorna at Arilova Colony in Vizag, Ravi Sarma, and Anuradha at Nagole, Amarula Bandhu Mitrula Committee leader Padma Kumari at Subhash Nagar in Alwal, and Revolutionary Writers Association leader G Kalyan Rao.

Around 12 members of the NIA team reached Vizag on Wednesday night and started searches in the early hours at Annapoorna’s house.
They are assisted by the police of Jagdalpur of Chhattisgarh. It is alleged that the NIA cops are not disclosing any reason for the searches.
