Maharashtra: RPF personnel saves life of man who fell while trying to get off moving train in Kalyan

KALYAN: A man at Kalyan railway station was rescued by a Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel when he slipped on the platform while getting off the moving train.
The timely act by the RPF personnel saved the man from being crushed as he was lying dangerously close to the gap between the speeding train and the platform.
In the mishap, the passenger later identified as Yunish Khan suffered minor injuries. RPF constable RK Yadav while saving him suffered minor injuries.
The incident took place on platform number 4 on Thursday at 9.30 pm when Khan had come to drop his relatives at the station. The RPF officials said that Khan after boarding belongings of his relatives on Mumbai- Lucknow Pushpak Express was trying to come out of the train but due to rush in the train he could not come out on time and the train started. He fell while trying to get down from the running train.
The video of the incident shows that Khan who is stuck inside the gap is getting dragged with the train. The clip shows RPF sub inspector Anil Kumar, constable Shehsrao Patil and RK Yadav posted on duty at platform rushing to help the man, and pulling him back immediately.
The RPF constable upon enquiry found that Khan is a resident of Mira Road and he had come to drop his relative to board train. In the mishap, Khan had suffered minor injuries to whom RPF personnel gave first aid treatment and tried to get him admitted to the hospital for which he refused.
