Can i train to failure ?

Hey, i want to ask something. Most people say that i should train close to failure, but no to complete failure. My problem is, when i train close to failure, i have still feeling like i did not make 100% of that set and i have bad feeling + when i go to the failure (i mean form failure, i go until i cant do another rep with good form) i feel better pump. I have good sleep and nutrition, is it really that bad training to failure ? I train fullbody 4x per week, just 3 sets per exercises, i know there are many things like stress level, sleeping, nutrition, etc. etc. but do you think that i can train to failure on all exercises (except big 4 = deadlift, squat, bench,OHP) ? Thanks

Some think it's not worth the extra fatigue it generates - you have to think about the whole workout and subsequent workouts too, not just that 1 set.

There is also the injury risk argument - especially if form breaks down at the end of heavy lifts like squats and deads.

Others do perfectly fine on training to failure... it's something you have to discover for yourself.

That's pretty much the definition of stopping short of failure.

If what you're doing is working for you it doesn't matter what anyone else says. By working, I don't mean how you "feel" during the set, but the results/progress over time.

    ^ Exactly that

Many people train to failure regularly without any obvious issues. The danger is that it can be difficult to notice negative impacts and be able to attribute them to training to failure - they can start out being really mild and gradually impact you more over time.

It sounds like you're pretty well aware of the dangers. I'm a huge proponent of 'try it and see what happens'.

There’s zero wrong with training to failure. There is no failure boogeyman. Do it if that’s what you enjoy.
