ETMarkets.comNEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:09AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.
Biocon(up 0.87 per cent), Alembic Pharmaceuticals(up 0.39 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals(up 0.39 per cent), Gland Pharma(up 0.39 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.13 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Laurus(down 1.96 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(down 1.83 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(down 1.46 per cent), Lupin(down 1.46 per cent) and Aurobindo Pharma(down 1.43 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.59 per cent at 13717.4 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 17.15 points at 17982.05, while the BSE Sensex was down 49.86 points at 60272.51.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Tata Power, Tata Motors, Trident Ltd and Zomato Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Man Infracons, Jainam Ferro Alloys(I)Ltd., 63 Moons Tech, Rajshree Polypack and Apollo Hospital hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Network People Services Technologies Ltd., Nidan Laboratories And Healthcare Ltd., Vikas WSP, Supreme Infra and Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
