Uttar Pradesh records 9 Covid cases, 8 recoveries

LUCKNOW: After a gap of several weeks, a new case each of Covid-19 was reported in Deoria and Maharajganj districts on Tuesday.
Officials said in total, nine cases were reported in the past 24 hours, while eight persons recovered from the infection. The other cases were reported from Lucknow (2), Gautam Budh Nagar (2) and Prayagraj (3).
The number of active cases in UP as on date stood at 99 with Gautam Budh Nagar accounting for 28 cases followed by Lucknow where 15 cases are under surveillance. Health officials informed that 14.28 crore doses of the vaccine have been administered in the state.
