Lisbon Tourism Summit focuses on digitalization of tourism and inventive solutions for improving tourist experience

During this time, when the pandemic situation in Portugal is improving and the tourism sector is showing visible signs of recovery, the Lisbon Tourism Summit (LTS), is being held, which is an eventorganized by the collaborative innovation consultancy Beta-I, supported by Turismo de Portugal.The summit focuses on the digitalization of tourism and inventive solutions for improving tourist experience. The summit will be held from 16 to 18 November, in a hybrid format and free access, and would be a bridge between startups, investors and entrepreneurs in tourism at the national and international level.

This fourth edition of LTS will showcase talks, workshops and informal meetings, where trends impacting the sector in the current context will be discussed by taking three strategic challenges into account: how to create a data-driven sales and communication strategy (from sales and marketing automation to natural language processing and data integration), how to develop travel and hospitality experience (with virtual tours, application of augmented and virtual reality among others), and finally, how to create smarter operations (from hospitality process optimization to booking system automation).
