Two counts of sexual assault against McLeran in connection with alleged incidents on July 1, 2014, and Aug. 1, 2014, were dismissed as part of a plea agreement, court filings show.
Thirtieth District Judge Jeff McKnight sentenced McLeran to 20 years in prison Friday for the March 1, 2003, child sexual assault and for prohibited sex with a relative on April 1 and Sept. 1 in 2009, according to court documents.
Aggravated sexual assault of a child is punishable by up to life in prison. Prohibited sex with an ancestor or descendant is punishable by 20 years in prison.
McLeran had been free from Wichita County Jail on $130,000 in bonds since Jan. 29, 2020, but he was taken into custody Friday to await transfer to prison, online jail records show.
He was being held Wednesday in the jail, according to jail records.
Affidavits for arrest warrants gave these accounts: A woman reported on Feb. 12, 2017, that she was molested as a child and as an adult by a male relative.
The woman was interviewed at Patsy's House Children's Advocacy Center and disclosed information about multiple sexual assaults over several years.
She was about 11 years old during the first incident. In the spring of 2003, she was asleep when McLeran began molesting her.
The woman was a teenager in incidents around April 1, 2009, and around Sept. 1, 2009, when she awoke to find he was raping her.
McLeran told police he sexually assaulted the victim two or three times but not when she was 11 or 16.
