Gurgaon: The city on Tuesday witnessed 13 new
cases of Covid-19, taking the caseload to 1,81,559, of which 79 are active cases. Earlier, the city had 13 cases was on June 25, since then Gurgaon has continuously witnessed a slow down in daily cases. However, this month because of the festival and wedding season the cases are witnessing an uptick.
As many as 12 people also recovered on Tuesday, increasing the total number of recoveries to 1,80,556. Meanwhile, a total of 71 patients are in home isolation.
As many as 49 government session sites will be set up for
Covid vaccination on Wednesday. Covishield will be given at 43 sites, Covaxin at five sites while Sputnik V at one site. Moreover, health teams will visit 167 locations to carry out door-to-door vaccination on Wednesday.
A total of 15,138 people in the age group of 18-44 years got inoculated on Tuesday. In the 45-plus category, as many as 1,913 people took the shots, while 10 healthcare workers and 11 frontline workers also received the jabs. In all, 17,072 doses were administered on Wednesday.
Gurgaon is focusing on the second dose as the city has crossed 123% of first dose target. The district has also given 83% of second doses to its targeted population.
