DC Chandel Trophy: Kanankhu, ULFC, Riverlane, Ziontlang carry the day

Imphal, November 15 2021: Kanankhu YC, ULFC, Riverlane YC and Ziontlang FC were the winners in the Monday's action of the DC Chandel Trophy Football Tournament 2021 .

Ts Marson scored in both halves to help Kanankhu YC carve out 2-1 win over Kapaam FC at the Chandel Mini Stadium.

Marson opened his account early with a 4th-minute strike but an own goal (47th) by teammate Vanlinglean cancelled out their side's lead.

But moments later, Marson was in action again to regain Kanankhu's lead as the team held on to eventually collect all three points.

ULFC, meanwhile, scored eight goals past United LFC in a one-sided affair.

Morningson and Armstrong took charge of the first four goals inside 70 minutes.

Morningson set the tone for the rout with a double (35th, 59th) and Armstrong followed suit making it 4-0 with his strikes on 64 and 70 minutes.

Then Paulin found the fifth goal in the 72nd minute, Bunghong netted the sixth goal in a span of one minute, Alex scored the seventh goal in the 77th minute and Bunglong collected his second goal in the 79th minute to wrap up the scoring and the victory.

At Liwa Sarei Ground, Riverlane YC rode on WL Glad-son's hat-trick to ease past Modi CSC 4-1 .

Denny opened the scoring for Riverlane in the 14th minute and Gladson extended the lead in the 24th minute before Cember pulled a goal back in the 42nd minute for Modi CSC.

Then it was up to Gladson to help his side seal a convincing victory by scoring two goals (55th, 78th) that completed his treble.

Later, Ziontlang FC beat Chandel Christian YC with relative ease as Renglin (18th, 78th)), Salemthang (21st) and Kanthanglen (34th) got their names on the scoresheet in their team's 4-0 drubbing of their opponents.
