Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Zomato Ltd.(number of shares traded: 5.13 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 4.41 crore), Tata Power(number of shares traded: 1.83 crore), Tata Motors(number of shares traded: 1.45 crore), Zee Ent.(number of shares traded: 1.41 crore), Ashok Leyland(number of shares traded: 1.37 crore), Unitech(number of shares traded: 1.34 crore), Motherson Sumi(number of shares traded: 1.27 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 1.23 crore) and YES Bank(number of shares traded: 1.20 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:30AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 44.2 points down at 18065.25, while BSE Sensex was down 179.63 points at 60539.08 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 2.96 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 2.80 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 0.99 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 0.74 per cent) and Coal India Ltd.(up 0.66 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 1.51 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.31 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.08 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(down 1.02 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.01 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
