AHMEDABAD: Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel said on Tuesday that drinking water was no longer an issue in Gujarat and it has become a tool of development. The CM addressed a function organised by the Water Supply Department at Savli in Vadodara district after declaring that all the households in the district have tap water connections now. After Gandhinagar, Mehsana, Anand, Botad and Porbandar, Vadodara became sixth district in the state to achieve the feat. Along with this, the CM also laid foundation stone of water supply works worth Rs 491.39 crore to strengthen the water distribution system in the district.
