Missing Rochester teen found safe, home with family
UPDATE: The Rochester Police Department on Tuesday morning canceled the AMBER Alert activated at 10:23 p.m. Monday regarding missing Rochester teen James Fernandez Reyes. The alert was canceled at 10:02 a.m. Tuesday.
The teen, officers said in a release, was located and "is home safe with family."
Rochester police released the following statement:
The Rochester Police Department can confirm, the missing juvenile from yesterday’s Amber Alert has been located, and is home safe with family. This is still an active investigation. There will be no further information released at this time.

An Amber Alert for a missing Rochester teen police believe was abducted by several masked men was issued by authorities on Monday night.
James S. Fernandez Reyes, 14, was taken on Myrtle Street about 4:30 p.m. Monday, according to the Rochester Police Department.
An Amber Alert was issued at 10:23 p.m. by the New York State Special Victims Unit and Rochester Police Department.

Who is James Fernandez Reyes?
The teen is a 14-year-old Hispanic boy who stands about 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds.
He has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue pants and white Nike Air Force One sneakers.
When was he last seen?
Police say that the teen was last seen on Myrtle Street, just north of Lyell Avenue, in Rochester around 4:30 p.m. Monday.
What happened?
Officers said Fernandez Reyes was possibly abducted by four or five Black men wearing masks.
"The child was taken under circumstances that lead police to believe that they are in imminent danger of serious harm and/or death," RPD said the alert.
A mid-sized gold sport utility vehicle believed to be transporting the teen was last seen traveling north on Myrtle Street.
The SUV has white New York license plates. The plate number was not available.
