Safaricom runs draw for businesses using M-Pesa with prizes including tuk-tuks, pick-ups and trucks

Kenyan operator Safaricom has launched a promotion under which businesses on Pochi La Biashara and Lipa Na M-Pesa Business Till will earn one point for every transaction of KES 50 and above that they receive or pay out for the next eight weeks. More than 400,000 businesses now accept payments through Lipa Na M-Pesa, up from 170,000 in March 2020, with 2 million small businesses using the Pochi La Biashara service.
