Jose Berrios has reached agreement on a seven-year, $131 million extension with the Toronto Blue Jays, according to multiple reports.

Toronto acquired the right-hander at the trade deadline from the Minnesota Twins and he went 5-4 with a 3.58 ERA in 12 starts for the Blue Jays down the stretch.

The 27-year-old Berrios went a combined 12-9 in 2020 with a 3.52 ERA and a career-best 204 strikeouts.

For his career, he is 60-47 with a 4.04 ERA over six seasons.
