New Delhi, Nov 16 (UNI) Army Chief General MM Naravane, who is on a visit to Israel, visited the northern border of the country and was briefed on the terrain by Israel Defence Forces, the Indian Army said.
"General MM Naravane COAS visited the Northern border of Israel and was briefed on terrain & border management aspects by Israel Defence Forces (IDF)," Indian Army said in a tweet.
The Army Chief is on a visit to Israel from November 15 to 19. This is his first visit to Israel.
An official statement ahead of his visit had said he will be meeting the senior military and civilian leadership in Israel, where he will discuss avenues for further enhancing Indo-Israel defence relations.
The Army Chief will take forward the excellent bilateral defence cooperation between Israel and India through multiple meetings with senior officials of the security establishment and exchange views on various defence related issues.
