Mumbai: As vaccinations in the city gains steam, the SRCC Children’s hospital in Mumbai has urged parents of children aged between 2-18 to register their kids for the jab.

However, the dates for the vaccination drive will be declared only after government approval, a notice by the authorities read.

Earlier last month, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar had also said that the city is ready to vaccinate children and is waiting for guidelines.

Meanwhile, Mumbai reported 184 new COVID-19 cases on November 15, Monday, taking the total tally to 7,59,777.

225 COVID-19 patients recovered and were discharged on Monday, taking the recovery count to 7,38,155. Now, there are 2775 active cases in the city.

City recorded 4 death due to coronavirus on Monday which pushed its fatality count to 16,296 as per data released by the city's civic body.

On Monday, 23,723 tests were conducted. May 17 had reported the lowest count rate with just 17,640 tests. Till date, 119,27,769 tests have been conducted in the city.

Meanwhile, the doubling rate in Mumbai has declined to 2,010 days, while the weekly growth rate has retained at 0.03 percent.

There are total 0 containment zones in the city and 15 buildings have been sealed as per today's data. Recovery rate of Mumbai district has retained at 97 percent.
