CRPF distributes sports items at Sehjang village

Noney, November 15 2021: A Civic Action Programme was organised by 86 BN CRPF at Sehjangvillage under Kangpokpi district under the aegis of IGP Manipur & Nagaland Sector MS Shek-hawat, DIGP Range Imphal Ravindra Singh Rautela and BN commandant Mohd Yusuf.

During the programme, Ravindra Singh and Mohd Yusuf distributed various sports materials including football, volleyball, cricket bat and stump, boxing glove, head gear, skipping rope, badminton racket, shuttle cock and carrom board to the students and youth of the village at Government Primary School, Sehjang.

Ravindra addressed and exhorted the villagers highlighting the rule and responsibilities of CRPF in the context of ensuring peace and stability of the nation and stated that he will be always available to extend any assistance or help whenever required.

In his address, Mohd Yusuf stated that the distribution programme was initiated with a view to inspire the youth of the village to take up sports activities, which will also keep them away from other unwanted activities.

The event was also attended by second in-commandant K Haopu and assistant commandant Daniel L Hmar.

The items were distributed keeping in mind the interest of local youth and to maintain the cordial and peaceful relations between the security forces and local populace.

Meanwhile, Sehjang village chief Hentinseh Kipgen, prominent members of the village and the people of the area applauded the philanthropic and welfare initiatives of the 86 Bn .
