Imphal, November 13 2021: Essential items for water purification and construction materials were distributed to Ningthoukhong on Saturday by BSF 113 Battalion as a part of the series of Civic Action Programme.

In a release, 113 Bn BSF said that a total of 1000 kg of Alum and 1000 kg of bleaching powder were provided to Water Supply Maintenance & Operational Committee of Ningthoukhong Water Supply Plant, which serves as the only source of water supply facility for the whole of Ningthoukhong area and nearby villages.

It also said that a total of 50 CGI Sheets along with construction materials were handed over to the executive members of Ningthoukhong Educational Sports Development Association (NESDA) for construction of community gymnasium at Ningthoukhong.

The items were received Committee secretary Kh Shyamkanhai Singh and NESDA joint secretary T Premjit Singh in the presence of former Bishnupur MIA Govindas Konthoujam, informed the release.

DIG Dinesh Singh Rawat also assured the local leaders of continuous support to the villagers in providing basic amenities through various CAP, it added.
