National Achievement Survey conducted

Jbm/Tpl, November 13 2021: National Achievement Survey 2021, aimed at assessing the level of competence of students of Classes III, V, VIII & X was held in 44 schools of Jiribam district on Friday.
Speaking to media persons, District Nodal Office, ZEO Jiribam, Thoudam Amurashi Chanu stated that National Achievements Survey 2021 was successfully conducted in Jiribam to assess the impact of the pandemic on the learning levels among students while adding that the survey was last held in 2018 in the district.
She also highlighted the difficulties faced during the selection of Field Investigation due to the absence of DIET Centre or B ED college in Jiribam.
Sorokkhaibham Tanuja Devi, NAS 2021 Observer of Jirighat High School stressed on the language barriers faced by students of the school who were predominantly from Muslim community while adding, that classes were mostly cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Similarly, the National Achievement Survey (NAS) examination was also conducted in 156 schools of Tengnoupal district on Friday.
The NAS examination was supervised by 46 Field Investigators and 67 observers.
