Two people were injured after shots were fired in downtown Port Huron Sunday morning.

Port Huron Police Lt. Jeremy Young said the department responded to a report of multiple shots fired shortly after 2 a.m. in the east Quay Street lot.

Two people were injured. One was taken to McLaren Port Huron and the other was taken to Lake Huron Medical Center before being transferred to Troy Beaumont Hospital. The injuries did not appear to be critical or life-threatening, he said.

It’s currently unknown how many people were involved and Port Huron Road Patrol and the Major Crimes Unit are investigating the incident, Young said.
