Imphal, November 13 2021: Japhou YC, Liwa Sard, Purum Tampak SC and Chumbang FC all got the better of their respective opponents in the Saturday's fixtures of the DC Chandel trophy Football Tournament 2021.Japhou FC romped past Mantri Pantha YC 5-1 as Marconi struck twice in his side's emphatic win at Mini Sports Complex.

Alfred kick-started the rout with a 28th-minute opener and Strongman made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute before Marconi roared into action scoring a double (45th, 52nd) in a span of seven minutes as Stephen rounded off their scoring with a 65th-minute strike.

Mantri Pantha scored through Andre whose 68th-minute effort eventually proved to be their only goal of the match.

Liwa Sarei, meanwhile, eked out a 1-0 win over Chandonpokpi YC.

Joyphasing netted the winning goal in the 3rd minute.

At MUGHSS playground, Malreng struck in a treble to propel Purum Tampak SC to a 3-1 victory over Monsang Pantha YCC.

It was Monsang Pantha who took the lead with a 20th-minute goal by Giles but Purum Tampak fought back strongly to overturn the scoreline, thanks to Malreng who scored a hat-trick (30th, 36th, 57th).Later in the day, Chumbang FC rode on Ahong's double to outplay Riindamkhu SC 2-0.Ahong scored in both halves to help his side secure all three points.
