
- A Fidelity cash services van was overturned by robbers in Kempton Park on Saturday before it was blown open.
- Three guards, including the driver, sustained gunshot wounds during a heavy exchange of gunfire with the robbers.
- The police arrested two suspects, recovered four rifles and three vehicles while more suspects remain at large.
Gauteng police have launched a manhunt for a group of heavily armed robbers following a cash-in-transit heist in Edlen, Kempton, Park on Saturday morning.
Dramatic scenes unfolded when a Fidelity cash van was rammed by a Mercedes-Benz with false number plates on Plane Road. After it overturned, the doors of the van were blown open.
The explosion followed a heavy exchange of gunfire between the security guards and armed robbers.

The cash van driver was seriously hurt and airlifted to hospital following the attack while two security guards sustained moderate injuries.
Emergency service provider Emer-G-Med said its advanced life support paramedics treated and stabilised two security officers who suffered multiple gunshot wounds before taking them by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
Two suspects were later arrested by the police following a high-speed chase while more remain at large after escaping in a Toyota Quantum.
The Quantum was later found abandoned.
Police spokesperson Colonel Athlenda Mathe said it was unknown if cash was taken during the attack.
Fidelity ADT spokesperson Charnel Hattingh could not immediately respond to questions.

Mathe said: "The suspects fled the scene in a white Ford Ranger and a white Quantum. The suspects were chased by members of the SAPS and a local security company.
"The suspects in the Ford Ranger lost control and collided with a traffic light. These suspects then hijacked a white Isuzu bakkie and that bakkie was also cornered [by police and guards]. Two suspects have been arrested and the rest fled the scene."
She added all the injured were taken to hospital.
Mathe said the police recovered four rifles and three vehicles – a Mercedes-Benz, Ford Ranger and Toyota Quantum.
