Noida:
Pet owners in the city will soon be able to get their companions vaccinated for free.
The
Noida Authority on Friday announced that it would organise camps to vaccinate the pet population that gets registered through its mobile app, which will be live from November 25. Rs 500 is the
registration fee.
Once the app is ready, the Authority will approach the residents welfare associations and apartment owners associations to encourage the residents to get their pets registered.
The Authority launched the beta version of its mobile app for registration of pets on September 15. However, an iOS version of the app and other features of the existing
Android app are yet to be added. Noida CEO
Ritu Maheshwari said that the iOS version and the complete app will be available for the residents from November 25 and the Authority’s IT department “is working to give the final shape to the same”.
For getting their pets registered, a resident will have to provide all the details, photographs and their address proof, along with a fee of Rs 500. Earlier the Authority had kept the annual fee as Rs 1,000. However, due to backlash from different residents’ groups, the fee was slashed to Rs 500 on September 30.
