KALYAN: At least five workers were injured after rods used for construction of pillar for metro train collapsed in Maharashtra's Bhiwandi town on Saturday afternoon. The injured were sent to a private hospital and their condition is said to be stable. The mishap occurred at 3pm opposite Maratha Punjab Hotel situated in Anjurphata area. The Bhiwandi fire brigade team received a call about the incident at 3pm. Immediately, police, fire brigade personnel and metro staff team reached the spot. The MMRDA is carrying out metro rail work between Thane-Bhiwandi and Kalyan route.
