It took me nearly an hour to cross the shore. As part of a deep depression, the force lessened and went west and northwest. Then, throughout the night, strong ground winds of 30 to 40 kmph are forecast in Chennai, Chengalpattu, and Tiruvallur districts. Speaking to the press, kamal haasan said, "The monsoon season occurs once a year. Our lack of concentration has turned the monsoon into a disaster. I'm not implying that the government is blameless in this regard.

There's a problem with the government as well. Without fault, the government would not have suffered as much. However, it is also accountable to individuals. This vulnerability must be shared by all. Encroaching water levels should not be considered a crime. In times of tragedy, everyone, including ourselves, comes to help.
